We are always looking for people with a variety of skills and experiences who feel they'd like to contribute to supporting Delapré Abbey. Equally though, we are committed to helping build skills and develop people's confidence in new areas. So here are just some of the following opportunities you could get involved in: 

 

• Providing guided tours of the Abbey, including possible costumed interpretation and specialist knowledge tours

 

• Being an Abbey Host helping to open up our visitors to our interpreation and stories around the buildings

 

• Supporting our Visitor Welcome Space and front of house activity

 

• Assisting with educational activities on site such as school visits or informal events such as parties

 

• Supporting the extensive programme of events, talks and other activities planned - as stewards, hands-on activity leaders or general assistance with running events.

 

• Working with the DAPT staff to help maintain the building and facilities

 

• Keeping the Walled Garden and other park areas in tip-top condition through gardening projects or general site maintenance such as litter picking

 

• Continuing the development of our knowledge and understanding of the history of the Abbey and its people through research and suport of our community archive.
